Maizegrown
The maizegrown are a plant-based species native to Vardura. The circumstances of their origin are tied to The Evervoice and Spooky Water, but little is known of the specifics.
No official contact has been made between any maizegrown assembly and Keshloamic officials, but several of the individual beings emigrated to the Drembari Isles as survivors of the First Echwink Expedition. Under watch of the Bari Historical Society and Marvon Mosswater, the being flourished, grew, and prospered away from Vardura.
Notable maizegrown individuals include:
- Dr. Malachai Husk, BHS scholar and accomplished archaeologist and historian. He is currently working with the Second Echwink Expeditions on Vardura as a member of a Windblown adventuring group called The Suckhole Six.
- Micah Husk, brother of Malachai and student of magic. He is also a member of the Windblown on assignment with The Ill Tide.

Genetics and Reproduction
Fed with Spooky Water, maizegrown are individually grown from stalks.
Growth Rate & Stages
The maizegrown were markedly small and childlike during all interactions with the First Echwink Expedition, but seem to grow along standard humanoid rates as evidenced by Malachai and Micah Husk. However, there is reason to believe that the maizegrown located on Vardura may have remained childlike, but this theory has yet to be confirmed.
