Sara

A vampire assaulted Sara when she was walking home in King's Cross. Not a physical strike you may assume of a monster but a salatious attack that was traumatizing and damaging. The monster disappeared into the night and Sara did not know she was pregnant with its spawn.   The incident led to the birth of her only child, Cassius. She bore a hatred for vampires and could barely stand to look at her son. She knew the Grimhunters had a base at the edge of the city and began asking them for tips, but also trying to gain information about the man that assaulted her. She eventually joined the Grimhunters after the tragic incident. She raised her son but kept him indoors, Sara would tell everyone that her son is very sickly and that is why they never see him. He was odd and different but was able to go into sunlight, although it seemed to stress the young baby out each time.   When Cassius was 8, Sara found him "playing" with the shadows. Her son had gained the ability to shadowmance. Shadowmancing was a rare power among vampires but Sara still kept her already lonely son's powers a secret.   At this point she had made allies with the vampire hunters so it was safer to keep this information to herself. She even began seeing one of the Grimhunters so she scolded her son if he ever used his powers.   When Cassius was 14, he had enough control over his powers that his mother allowed him to wander around the city. Cassius learned there that his powers were abnormal and he quickly became an outcast amongst other kids his age.   Sara and Colton were eventually married but she made sure Cassius kept his dark secret. When she became pregnant again they named their new daughter Cassidie and essentially neglected Cassius. She still resented the boy, especially since she took up the work of vampire hunting, she never truly accepted him.   When Cassius finally revealed himself during an accident in the streets where he helped someone in danger, Sara turned against him and told him to leave. Now she raises Cassidie with her husband and tries not to think abojt her first child.
