Oathblades
The Oathblades roam the realm in tight-knit packs, never settling until a landholder invites them into their borders. Once welcomed, they raise stockades and hall-long barracks with their own hands, shaping a small, disciplined community around the vow they swear. That oath binds them for life—sometimes longer, as promises are carried from parents to their heirs without question. They refuse payment for conquest and won’t march on foreign soil unless their home is threatened. Their worship of Everglade, sister of Foulrot, shapes their restraint. When an Oathblade steps forward to defend their chosen home, it is with the certainty of someone who has trained since childhood for one purpose: to stand between danger and the land that accepted them.
