Blackwater Bay
Blackwater Bay lies just beyond the cliffs of Turin, its dark waters churning against jagged rocks and pale sandbars. Sailors speak of the bay’s strange hue—an ink-like shimmer that clings to the waves even in daylight, as though the sea itself remembers the blood spilled upon it.
It was here that Addikus and Haydemar Windslayer waged their famous duel upon the water to decide the Ninth Eastern Moot. Their ships circled like beasts, crashing hulls and shattering oars until Addikus struck the final blow, casting his rival into the bay’s depths.
Since that day, the fishermen of Turin claim the tides turn harsher near the anniversary of the fight, as if Haydemar’s spirit still drags at the currents.
