Wobani

A devastated planet surrounded by an orbital Dust Cloud Wobani is desolate and depressing. The flora that exists on the planet evolved to be dark black to absorb any light that filters through the clouds of pollution and white dust. But it is not the surface of the planet that is appealing, but rather the rich minerals and ores that lie below the surface. Anyone who can get off, gets off. Families deserting each other, selling one another into Imperial slavery in the mines if needed just to get off world. Which is why there is very little Civilian population on the planet, instead it acts as an Imperial Prison with mines and harsh barracks for Petty Criminals to serve their time in hell.   Less well known lies another industry on the planet, the Dismantlement of CIS vehicles and the retrofitting of their weapons systems onto Imperial craft, or their dismantlement for their valuable components. Unlike the normal Criminals who work in the mines, these workers are former Clone Troopers and part of the Empire's Soldier to Civilian program. Unlike the slave prisoners they are totally paid well and given good work and are "totally not" Troopers who have displeased the empire and are being used as slave laborers.   While most civilians who remain live in slum, there are a few who have managed to get incredibly wealthy due to their Imperial Connections, and most Imperial Officers on the planet live well in mansions sealed off from the outside air and full of artificial sunlight. For the rank and file Soldiers however, an assignment to Wobani is nothing less than a punishment assignment, and how they treat the locals and slaves is evidence of this.
