Wildlings

The wildlings are a widespread Gauthic lineage with origins dating back to the experiments of the mages of the Arcane Empires which emerged following the Earth War and before the Imperial Cataclysm. Also known as shifters, or the beast-touched, they were created by combining Sympatic Lineages with beasts in an attempt to instill them with desireable animal traits and abilities.   Wildlings are highly varied in appearance, but all have the usual sympatic form. They look similar to an elf or human, but are each marked by physical aspects of a beast, although less so than the corrupted Gnolls, and their height and frame tend to match their animal aspect. Feline wildlings tend to be small and lithe, although larger than rat wildlings, while ox and bear wildlings can be massive.   In addition to certain common abilities, each wildling is able to enter a more fully animalistic state called the shift. In the shift, they have heightened abilities, and a more bestial appearance.
