The Wayward Child
The Wayward Child is a god of violence and contrariness. She promotes and provokes meaningless resistance, disruption for its own sake. The Dark-Eyed Stranger stands for rebellion in the cause of change, and The Kingmaker's followers would defy a duke in spite of the threat of reprisals, but a worshipper of the Child would burn a town's grain silos because it would provoke mass executions.
The Child's clergy are threaded through criminal gangs and violent conspiracies. For obvious reasons they wear no identifiable robes, but do wear a blood-red rag somewhere on their person.
- Most of the Child's clerists are Knives (avenger), whose worship takes the form of acts of murder and destruction committed solely to create fear and chaos.
- Those with a more cerebral interest in chaos become Scythes (palatinate), who coordinate the actions of knives, lay followers and dupes to create greater terror.
