The Banisher of Monsters
The Banisher of Monsters is the war god of some ancient people, and now the patron of adventurers and monster-slayers. Orthodox theology says that she is the wayward twin of The Heavenly General and the two cults have an uneasy accord.
With many more lay members than clerists, the Banisher does have a small and highly specialised cult operating around the edges of civilisation. They have a uniquely antagonistic attitude to the Wylds, which could almost be considered atheistic, but has also earned them the respect of the Antlered King's Order of the Green.
The Banisher's clergy wear the earthen browns and greens of a forester, with a characteristic red hood, mantle or scarf.
- Slayers (guardian/avenger) are travelling monster killers. They are known for their stoicism and devotion to their duty above all else, and most are motivated by a past tragedy.
- Woodcutters (orator/palatinate) are the political arm of the cult. They frequent noble courts to advocate for the clearance of Primeval Wilderness and the eradication of known Gauthic populations.
