Playing Cards

There are many different variations of playing cards in the world of Galath, but most adhere to a standard format of 44 cards divided into four suits of 11. The cards within each suit are ordered with values from 1-11. The upper four numbers are sometimes given names describing a hierarchy: Prentice, Journeyer, Adept and Ascendent; Page, Squire, Knight, Commander; Noble, Heir, Consort, Sovereign; and others.
  The suits are Treasures, Roads, Fires and Lairs. Some decks add another 10 or 20 cards known as Trumps, each of which has a name as well as a number.
  Some decks, known as Sagnabokr, are designed for divination. These always include trumps, and may name every suit card instead of giving them numbers.
