Hobgoblins

Hobgoblins are the Secondborn of Aku, and are called the Thunderborn. They are a little larger and more heavily built, on average, than humans, and share their affinity with animals, especially horses. Their skin presents in various shades of blue and red. They have dark, deep set eyes and small, pointed ears. They have thick hair on their heads, but very little facial or body hair. They are noted for their cavalry, and for their great emotional reserve. They are not unemotional, but have few physical affects. They call this the strife mask, believing that one of Teb's criticisms of Aku's Firstborn was their over-emotional nature.
  Beginning as nomadic bands, before growing into larger tribes and beginning to form cities, hobgoblin culture was hijacked by the formation of the Western Horde seven hundred years ago. This vast undertaking swept up more than half of the living hobgoblins, and left its mark on both the survivors and those who were left behind.
