In the southern equatorial region of
Erask's, Hadhlen is a land of rainforests and simmering volcanoes. It is home to the majority of Erask's surviving giantings and Giant-Kin, although the halls of the historic Eorldom of Hadheley have long succumbed to quakes and eruptions.
Politically, Hadhlen remains an Eorldom, ruled by a giant-kin dynasty in an hereditary pact with the immortal
Giant Hadrach Flameshaper. Both the Eorl's court and their patron reside in the volcanic stronghold of Hadhold, in the shadow of the original, now ruined, Eorl's Hall. Below this citadel, a vast sprawl of fishing communities and associated industries stretches along the shores of Lake Hada.
The other notable settlements are the trade harbour of Oceanreach on the gentle east coast, and Stormwatch on the west. The west coast is wracked by fierce storms and sees little shipping. The fleet of Stormwatch is made up of 'stormchasers', small ships built to ride the tempests to hunt pirates, monsters and attackers brave enough to use the weather as cover.
