1 on 1: Dark Tidings in Ly'tel (1/?)
A few weeks ago you were hired too protect the elvish settlement of Ly'tel Amma as it undergoes an impressive rebuilding process. It's been good pay, and aside from a few small goblin raids that mostly seemed aimed at thievery than destruction, it's been uneventful. For the past few nights however, you've been attacked by small groups of ghouls, moving in too attack, retreating when threatened with a powerful force, then returning somewhere else. With a few deaths and too few guards to safely secure the perimeter, you've been offered a months pay (80gp) too find and, if possible, eliminate the creatures' in their lair. For each ghoul head you'll be paid another 4gp. A few inhabitants have volunteered to assist you, though you'll have to split the reward with them.
Key Facts
- You've got some knowledge of ghouls from fending them off for these last few days. They fight unarmed, and their claws are covered with a paralytic venom. They are clumsy to bite, but their jaws can inflict lots of damage.
- All attacks have come from the eastern side of settlement.
- Ghouls and most undead seem to be uncomfortable in sunlight, so their lair is likely underground or in a ruin.
- Ly'tel is in the very beginnings of recovery, and the population is only about 70
Plot points/Scenes
Intro- Lytel'Amma
Jack Slash is in Lytel, having just been given his mission brief by Dulcimer Pew. His three volunteers for assistance are nearby: Nackle Crackle,mm druid forest gnome, Perrock Gore mm thug (human), Zelfay Lellain'galgar, mm scout (wood elf). After picking his team (or picking none at all) he heads off, following the tracks of the ghouls through the forest.
pt 1: Embattled Greenskins
Following the line of destroyed forest, the path leads away next too a goblin village containing 13 goblins in total. It is possible to negeotiate with these goblins, and doing so gives the oppurtunity to add Ludek Pesek to the party.
Following the trail beyond the goblin village, a small burrow containing 4 ghouls. This is not all of them however, and a quick search will reveal that the path continues further east. It is possible to end the adventure here. This is also a good break point if its getting kinda close to time.

pt2: On the Streambank
Night falls as the party continues to make its way east, forcing them to stop for camp on the side of a swift flowing stream. In the night, they'll be attacked by a number of (at least 1 per party memember). It is possible to use terrain to funnel them quite well.
Pt3: A chapel in ruins
After the night, the party finds a small chapel in ruins, on the edge of the forest. Inside is a very large number of undead that seem unwilling too pursue the party into the sunlight. Possible methods for eliminating it: ignite the dead tree on top, knock out the supporting pillars, bait the nearby owl bear to destroy it.
Upon return, the party receives 100gp + 5gp per ghoul head split between them or 100gp each if the chapel was destroyed. Success winds the doom of Lytel back by 2 days.
