Half-elves mature at the same rate humans do and reach adulthood around the age of 20. They live much longer than humans, however, often exceeding 180 years.

Facial characteristics
Half-elf men do have facial hair, and sometimes grow beards to mask their elven ancestry. Half-elven coloration and features lie somewhere between their human and elf parents, and thus show a variety even more pronounced than that found among either race. They tend to have the eyes of their elven parents.

Naming Traditions
Half-elves use either human or elven naming conventions. As if to emphasize that they don’t really fit in to either society, half-elves raised among humans are often given elven names, and those raised among elves often take human names.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Half-Elves are seen as being decidedly quaint when it comes to relations and mating. The longevity of their life span is certainly a perk, but depending on the other race can be seen as a burden. For example, a half-elf and an orc, or even half-orc, aren't perfectly compatible as the physiology of orcs need to be hardier and sturdier to endure the daily stresses that are often placed upon them, where as half-elves are seen as being brittle in comparison. The child of a half-elf and orc/half-orc would live longer, with longer working days ahead of it then others and could have some medical complications closer to the end of their life. The effects of this is still being studied.
