Deep Lake City

Deep Lake City is a perpetually misty city, and is likely the most pleasant city in the Mortal Plains to live in due to its year round climate weathers. Despite the name, the City is nowhere near the Long Lake.
The city is deeply rooted in mysticism, and cabals and covens are the rulers of the city, which is built on the shores of the Deep Lake, the sacred grounds of the Lady of the Deep Lake. It is customary for adventurers to travel through Deep Lake City as their first or last stop on their Maiden Loop, depending on the direction they start out going. The Twin Churches of the Redemptive Flame are not happy with it, but the temples in the city and the tradition itself is far older than their pantheon.
There is a traditional festival to celebrate the new adventurers going on in the city. Toward the end of the festival, the Ritualists of the Deep Lake will perform a traditional ceremony, granting a minor boon to each of the adventurers within the city. They will be granted a single use of Deep Water Dust each, which, when blown or thrown directly onto the face of a creature, will bring on an induced sleep for an hour or so, unless the creature is particularly hardy.
