The people of the Coastal are a comparitively small ethnic group, in a region bordering the south sea. Geographically isolated from many of the other nations, the coastal have become expert sailors and maritime traders. The people of this land have a strong mercantile tradition with many fine craftsmen. With this large focus on commerce the Coastal are a highly urbanized people.

Coastal Republics

The Coastal Republics are the governing body of the Coastal, they control the territory between the south sea and the raider/coastal mountains. These Republics are one of the most established maritime trade nations in the world, controlling major shipping lanes throughout the south sea. Also renowned for their craft skill and mercinaries, the Coastal Republics are an economic powerhouse.

Silver Shields

The Silver Shields are an elite proffesional martial order within the Coastal's Army. Made up of the best soldiers from each of the Republics, the Silver Shields have long helped hold the Republics together, and defend their territory. Serving as soldiers, and mercinaries across the world, the Silver Shields have gained a prestigious reputation.

Coastal Senate

The governing legislative body of the Coastal Republics is the Senate. A small organization housed in the Capital and determins national laws. A group of twenty-six totall memebers selected from each of the constituant Republics. The oligarchs who sit on this Senate are in control of much of the economic, military, and foriegn policies of the Coastal.
