Tenets of Faith

  • Protect the wilderness from exploitation and destruction.
  • Slay abominations and other mockeries of nature.
  • Embrace and respect the savage nature of the world. Exist in harmony with it.

Holidays

Rites of Passage   Automne 3   For the Wood Elven tribes of the Forest of Dreams, the Rites of Passage are the deciding factor whether an elf moves to adulthood or not, and is accepted officially into the tribe. During the Rites, novices must pass several trials in light of Lorena's three commandments. They must commune with nature, slay an abomination wandering the woods, and give the trophy of their slayed beast as an offering upon Lorena's alter. There they pledge their vows to the Champion and give their word to protect the savage wilderness they call home. After the Rites are completed, the five tribes come together and accept their new members into their ranks before sharing a meal together.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Lorena lords over the untamed wilderness and roiling seas, and she represents all of nature, including the creatures, incredible weather phenomena, and even the great deserts. The Wood Elves of the Forest of Dreams worship her and guide their lives on her core beliefs, following her Rites of Passage to assume full acceptance into their tribes. Many hunters and sailors pray to her for protection in the wilderness or on the sea.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Wilderness Keeper is often depicted as a weeping elven woman, her tears forming the oceans, rivers, and lakes around her as she crumples at the edge of a cliff. Waves swarm around her body, looking as if ready to consume her, though there are other depictions that show her standing firmly against the coming storm. She is known to be beautiful with vibrant light blue skin and flowing hair made of water itself. Her eyes are said to be like pools of an endless depth, reflecting all the worlds oceans in them.

Personal history

Their are some disputes surrounding Lorena's history, and information has only become more scarce to access after the wood elves in the Forest of Dreams have closed themselves off to the rest of Fragmentia. It is believed that Lorena was either the chosen of Corellon or Melora.    Lorena is well-known for her temper, which has lead to many squabbles, disputes, and wars with Karram. They both felt that the seas were their domain and Lorena was angered when Karram refused to join the rest of the Champions at their holy place in Nova.    The wood elves regard Karram as an enemy of Lorena, seeking to destroy her sacred Forest of Dreams in retaliation for their constant fighting. They believe that Karram also stole the lost holy weapon of Lorena, the Brilliant Light--which has been renamed by the followers of Karram as Soulless. And though they once worked together to defeat the Bloody Leviathan, Lorena and Karram have never truly come to an agreement on anything.   After Lorena's holy weapon went missing, Lorena retaliating by casting Karram's holy weapon, the Lighting Piercer, into the sea. This may have been the catalyst for the Divine Wars.
