(a.k.a. The Lightning Lord)

Divine Domains

Tempest, War   Battle, Competitions, Storms, Humans

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Tenets of Faith

  • Bravery above all. There is no glory in cowardice.
  • The glory of the Lightning Lord lives through your own glory on the battlefield.
  • Strength is the path to greatness, but greatness is the responsible use of strength.

Holidays

Battle of Champions   Pluie 27   Mostly a naval spectacle, navy ships of the Couronnée Empire show off in great competitions off the coast of the Crowned Isle, where citizens watch from the cliffs. Though they are mock battles, they are still terrifying and exciting, and many men have died throughout the years. Once the battles have finished, the city turns upside down with drinking and food. There are competitions of strength, wrestling, and weapon fighting that often continue into the next day and week. It is a chaotic and dangerous festival, and it can be jarring to those not native to the Empire.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Karram thrives at the center of battle and conflict, and he faces his own constant battle against Lorena in dominion over the seas. Only those who prove themselves strong in the face of great hardship earn his favor and there have been none deemed more worthy than those of the Couronnée Empire.    Athletes, warriors, and hardened sailors heed Karram's call and it is only through their own strength that he guides them. Karram is known to bring the biggest storms and the most unruly seas, yet these are meant to temper the greatest warriors and to challenge those who have already earned his favor.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Lightning Lord is depicted as a human man made entirely of electric energy, a condition that may have occurred after Karram's ascension. Elements of his body are still visible, however, and he is muscular and well-defined. He is typically depicted wielding his greatsword in preparation to enter the belly of a dark and vicious storm. He is also sometimes depicted on a massive vessel, occasionally at odds with another carrying Lorena. In fact, if there are ever depictions of the Champions at odds, they are typically between Karram and Lorena.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Karram, even in his mortal life, was always hungry for competition and he thirsted for the thrill of battle. He was known amongst the early human kingdoms to be ruthless and he faught beside some of the greatest early heroes of human civilization. He even faced Aeon in wars between the Calen Dynasty and the human kingdoms long before they became Champions.   It was Karram's ambition and strength that drew Kord's attention and Karram was chosen as his Champion. In the War for Creation, Karram was sent directly to the battles waging on the unruly seas and though he fought bravely, he nearly succumbed to the roaring waters as the Corrupt Gods unleashed their wrath upon the Material Plane. As Karram's ship was torn to splinters, he gave one last battle cry and prayer to Kord and together, they struck a fatal blow to Bane. As Karram sank to the bottom of the ocean, he was called to ascend and he replaced Kord as one of the Twelve Champions.   In the years following the War for Creation, Karram was at constant odds with Lorena, the two of them fighting for dominion over the seas. Where Karram wanted to test all who dared traverse the seas, Lorena wanted to ease their passage, but Karram saw this as weakness.   Karram and Lorena fought together only once to bring down the Bloody Leviathan, a kraken who threatened them both. After this short alliance, tensions between the two only increased, potentially leading to the Divine Wars. Karram refused to join the other Champions in Nova, and it is believed that he stole Lorena's holy weapon, Soulless.    Their fighting was known to be legendary in the Divine Wars, causing great devestation, and some scholars believe that may have been the cause of the Shattering itself.
