Tenets of Faith
- Diplomacy is best done through acts of subversion and subterfuge.
- Abide by personal codes of honor as a means of taking power and holding it.
- Strategy is more important than luck. Luck is the weapon of the blind.
Holidays
Games of Wit
Vent 11
This festival takes place in the great capital of the Eladrin Elves, Calamité, a festival of dice and cards, of exotic performances and mind games. The city's elite arcane archers, the Shadow Auxiliary, give shows to the crowds in honor of their rigorous training, and novices who have passed their final tests are accepted officially into the Auxiliary on this day. They take their vows at Elayne's temple and then pledge their allegiance to Queen Faebynn at her alter before they are designated official members.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Elayne favors the bold and those who use cunning and manipulation to succeed. She seeks out those who are willing to play the great game of houses and secrets, and she protects the few who abide by her code of honor and rules. Those who pray to Elayne are often thieves' guilds or members of secret organizations, and she shows favoritism to those that are willing to take power into their own hands and under the guidelines of her code. Luck does not reign in her domain, but careful strategy is rewarded.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The Deep Shadow is often depicted in dark black armor with a fathomless dark hood. In artwork, she is usually depicted morphing into the shadows and sometimes, with a little smirk peeking out from beyond the hood. Her bow, the Shadow Weaver, is always depicted strapped to her back or in her hands with a shadow arrow knocked and ready to shoot.

Personal history
Elayne served as personal spymaster to Queen Alvandra the Brilliant of the Amakir Dynasty, a cunning and conniving queen who foundede the dynasty's greatest principles that still shine within the Eladrin Kingdom today. The success of the Amakir Dynastry is largely thanks to Elayne's talents and it was Elayne's eye for strategy that caught the attention of Erathis who chose Elayne as his second Champion.
In the War for Creation, Elayne used more subtle and manipulative methods to help the Creators in their victory. She infiltrated the lines of the Corrupt Gods and gained the trust of many of their disciples who believed she had betrayed the Creators.
However, Elayne was vehemently against ascension following the sacrifice of the Creators and tried to fight it, losing her holy weapon, the Shadow Weaver, in the process. She ascended and became one of the Twelve Champions.
Elayne did not easily accept her new place and responsibility as a Champion and deity. She wove her own path and guided the Eladrin from the Feywild, founding the original Shadow Auxiliary, which sought to bring down Fragmentia's most oppressive and corrupt governments which ran rampant in the years following the War for Creation. It was Elayne who taught the first arcane archers how to imbue their shots with magic.
As tensions rose in the pantheon at the start of the Divine Wars, Elayne worked both sides, hoping to find a common ground amongst the rest of the Champions. Though the nature of the Divine Wars is still largely uncertain or secret, Elayne has a sworn hatred for Blancha, and the two maintain an open territorial battle beyond the Mortal Gate. It is not known what caused this rift between the two Champions.
