High Mage Haemir Keyrieth (Hay-meer Kay-reeth)
High Mage Haemir Keyreith
The high mage (as most people refer to him as) is a strange light elf. While Haemir does look down on humans slightly as his heritage often does, he finds them more curious and fascinating than that. To him, humans are as unique as snowflakes, and each one should be protected to the best of their abilities. Any human players who interact with him will find that he studies them closely, often drawing their faces in his sketchbook with notes about them.
Haemir is a gently spoken man with some oddities behind his eyes. He speaks often as if he knows nothing, only revealing information as is necessary for the conversation. His hands always seem to be distracted by something, despite his face and eyes saying he's focused on one thing. This often makes it seem like he can focus on multiple things at once, even if he can't actually. He is capable of writing and drawing while having an entire conversation with other people however.
Haemir is very open minded, and willing to accept many new possibilities. To him, the debate between magic and science is an incredibly silly one, magic IS science. It’s merely another form of it, as is biology or psychology that other people he respects study. He looks very much forward to the evolution of the other sciences, and hopes one day to teach some of them within his own school, within his lifetime.
His office is often stacked high with fantastical magic items, so much so that someone who has cast detect magic would get overloaded with the amount of stuff he has. In fact, he has too much stuff, and has often lost many things behind other stuff he may or may not ever see again.
Haemir is often dressed in very loose robes, often stereo-typical for many mages. They are adorned with all the symbols that represent the magic schools and elements, and have various colors and shades all around the robe. He wears a hat which is a strange bent cone that is about a foot tall, strapped to his head by a chin strap.

Personal history
Unlike many light elves, Haemir developed a strange fascination with the ways of the arcane, and began to delve into its secrets at a young age. He found he had a knack for finding and developing many magical abilities, so he sought out to hone them. He spent roughly a century gathering and honing his magical craft, and became a great wizard. He began gathering people, as he travelled around and found many people who also had talents or were curious about the arcane, and he began teaching many of them about the secrets he had discovered. Over time, the group became too large for him to properly teach on his own, so he developed a school of sorts. While it started out as a simple wizards tower in the remote end of nowhere, it quickly expanded, as word got out and more people flocked to it. He began to expand the school, and son enough it became large enough to fit a town in. With the help of many other wizards he had taught, he developed a small city, as he named it Aivyael. Over the next two centuries, it has gone on to develop as one of the most populated and largest cities in the world.
Education
Haemir is largely self taught, but he has had help over the years and two heads are greater than one.

History
They initially started as high mage and student, as Alin enrolled in the academy for his magical training. As Alin became better and better at magic, and his talents shown through, Haemir began taking an interest in the young boy. He noticed and congratulated Alin on getting as far as he has in such little time. Over time Alin graduated, but the two kept in contact. Eventually, they became good firneds, so when Alin returned with a proposition, Haemir accepted.
