Elturel
Once the political and spiritual center of the noble nation of Elturgard, the city of Elturel lies now in ruin after the treachery of its former leader, Thavius Kreeg, condemned it and its people to Avernus and eternal servitude to the archdevil Zariel. The actions of brave adventurers returned the city to Toril and rescued the tiny handful of survivors who remained.
The future of Elturel is uncertain. Refugees shelter in Baldur's Gate and Soubar for the time being. The city itself is a fire-ravaged ruin. Whether it is beyond reconstruction remains to be seen.
