2025-08-21 Mandatory Fun

After some discussion about our purpose in Baldur's Gate, we left through the Black Dragon Gate and walked around Dusthawk Hill to return to Rivington. Between the districts of Whitkeep and Sow's Foot, we came upon a small gang of ghouls apparently feeding on locals and destroyed them.

Back at the Ten Steps Inn, we met with an emissary of the Knights of the Shield named Sudeid. He presented us with a offer of work: travel to the returned Elturel and recover the Tome of the Creed Resolute. The Order of the Gauntlet claims the tome now records the names of everyone who sold their soul to devils in Elturel, but lack the resources for a recovery expedition. Hu Lien contacted Ovak magically and instructed him to accept the offer in prinicple, negotiating a price the following day. We came to a price of 2500 gp total, which we'll deliver tomorrow at noon. Later, Ovak had his longest conversation with patron, learning her nature and her reasons for insisting he undertake the mission offered by Sudeid.
