1492 DR 13 Nightal (The Drawing Down)
General Summary
Chatting with the Bard, we learned some details of the Bog Hag, and he related the rhyme of The Bog Hag's Price. We took a quick trip back to Baldur's Gate to shop for incense to use in casting the legend lore spell, and Milo memorized the sigils for the teleportation circle in the Order of the Gauntlet's chapterhouse.
Back in Tír na nÓg, the Bard cast legend lore for knowledge of the Bog Hag and obtained the following:
- She weaves ruin through the centuries, a craft nearing art, more obsession than profession.
- The bog is both test and trap, a rot afflicting mind and body. Only tragedy shortcuts the decay.
- A single loathed expression, discarded in haste; its echo now whispers the fall.
- Anathema to one, treasure to some. Cresseret knew not what he had in life; in death he knows a little more.
Following from that, he cast again to learn about Cresseret. The name belongs to a cloud giant, notorious for high-stakes gambling, who disappeared a century or two ago after a series of humiliating losses. His palace was built on and within a mountain, which he magically transported from its home world into the Elemental Plane of Air. Though the mountain is supposed to have several routes leading to it from various worlds, we elected to find it within the Elemental Plane of Air instead. We used the The World Serpent Inn, to reach the inner plane, and are now navigating the mysteries of the plane in search of the palace.
