What are the stones of Emberpass?
Immeral "Imrel" is looking for clues to markings found in an ancient dwarven map discoevered by his old party.
The Emberpass & Blue Water Connection
While studying the ancient dwarven trade routes of the Sword Mountains, Immeral found references to Emberpass — a lost stronghold once connecting the northern passes to the southern coasts. His findings hinted that the site might hold relics of both magical and historical significance.
His inquiries drew the attention of a moon elf librarian, Serelwyn, who discreetly aided his research and introduced him to writings by Vaelithor of Silverstand, a reclusive archmage and scholar who's work contained mentions of both magical stones and Emberpass.
He decides to meet Vaelithor. The archmage was afraid that they were being watched (were there spies within the Academy) so he arranged to meet Immeral at the Blue Water Inn, just outside Neverwinter.
Immeral arrived first, waiting for the Archmage who would never come.
While there, he noticed a woman in conversation with mysterious figured, followed shortly after by several shady figures slipping from the shadows.
Sensing danger, Immeral followed when the pair left — and then followed the men who trailed them. To the city guards, it looked like espionage or conspiracy in motion.
His “suspicious behavior” gave them the perfect excuse.
He was arrested on the spot, swept up in a night of prearranged arrests designed to silence inconvenient people.
Vaelithor whereabouts — and what he knows — remain secret.
Now, Immeral sits in Hallow Gate Jail, accused of no crime but guilty of curiosity.

- What is Emberpass?
- What is the nature of the stones? Why were they sought after so much?
