The Lost Goddess

It is said that there were once 8 deities within the Tursp Slightlands. Another goddess once called it home, though details of who she was and her relationship with the others is long forgotten. The sole surviving myth is that of her destruction.   The myth goes that the goddess, whose description varies from myth to myth but is always gentle, once lived happily with the rest of them and was kind to mortals. One day, however, the wicked mortal Lier tricked her into granting him secrets of life and death, and he used them to commit terrible crimes across the land. Though he was one day struck down and eaten by Aurir himself, the goddess was so distraught by the carnage Lier wrought that she tore her mind asunder and crossed beyond the end of the world so that Lier's devastation could never be reenacted.   Some say that fragments of her lost mind and memory still exist, and they are priceless magical and historical treasures beyond compare. They are the envy of True Magi who seek to claim power of the gods themselves.
