Onward to Normington
General Summary
18th of Early Hollow, 1758
While Kasner wondered the woods alone, things felt familiar. Too familiar.
Kasner’s VisionYou wander through the woods, Kasner, perhaps to think, to get away, to break off. What catches your attention most about these trees is their odd nostalgic familiarity. It was here. There was someone. You helped them up. They ran off. It wasn’t a wasted effort. You know deep down they returned.
Look up to the trees. You know they watch from above. What’s worrying is the passing of time. Could they still be up there? Could they even be out there? The smell of a rose is all you need but the hint of danger lies behind it. You vaguely recall the vision of that flower but as the pommel to something in someone's hands. Deep down, perhaps they could help you with whatever is going on.
But there lurks the reminder of that dreaded day. The same setting here. The gasping for air. You saved them and what brings some closure is that you didn’t fade away alone. They were there as you were for them. You can feel the squeeze in your left hand slowly lose strength and your head slowly put to rest. But where could they be? All still looks so familiar so there must be a chance! Roses are the only hint of their presence. Hopefully more memories will reveal themselves soon.
Everyone, except for Carcass as he was the source, heard a vile scream coming from the woods. They had found the rotting tabaxi within the forests as have the nivallen of the Thunderthorns. They worried where this “thing” came from. Kasner and Rahas had eased their nerves about the nature of the unmoving corpse.
Heading to Wollow, the party heard news from caravans that the southern nivallen tribes, mainly Kniferose, have been harassing Valencian colonists about their operations getting a little too deep for their liking into the forests. Once in the gloomy town, Rahas found out that potion materials are brought here and sent to the City of Regalia.
19th of Early Hollow, 1758
The party then starts heading to the town of Surrive, first stopping at Normington. Along the way, they found the nivallen tribes Primalbear and Kniferose battling it out via an owlbear and awakened tree. With an arrow from Kasner distracting the tree, and a smack from the owlbear took it down. With the Primalbears cheering and the Kniferoses retreating into the woods, the party moved along.
21st of Early Hollow, 1758
Carcass and Kasner heard subtle wind chimes in the distance. They had found a Dreamwalker shot by an arrow after trying to flee some gnolls.
22nd of Early Hollow, 1758
On their last day heading to Normington, they are caught by the infamous Jubbol Savage!
