Golem Cores
Utility
It is used in a variety of golems meant for longevity due to the fact it's original purpose was to support the Frostweave empire during the winter. They have the capacity for combat, but their reliance on storage of mana over rune complexity makes it really not worth for battle.
Manufacturing
All it requires is a reinforced metallic shell containing a large amount of pure manastones followed with absorption runes for recharging, typically these manastones can last for two weeks, however the runes are to be replaced weekly. While the metallic shell is often cheap to make, pure manastone on the other hand is particularly rare, requiring to be mined deep underground.

Access & Availability
After its discovery, many nations started using it for either hauling or heavy construction golems some even use it for expedition golems, however they weren't perfect, still requiring monthly maintenance to refuel its core. However they are pretty expensive so only big companies can have up to ten of these cores.
Complexity
It is a core consisting of instruction runes and a mana source, preferably pure manastones as any sort of other energetic properties might result in the destruction of the core, a fire infused manastone might burn the core, an earth one might create mud and lighting might make it into a dangerous threat.
Discovery
First created during the rise of the Frostweave Empire, the golem cores allow more stable golems, fitting for manual labor in the harsh winter conditions of Akrill. Overtime, the invention spread throughout the empire's borders and even in the expeditionary forces leading the invention to remain intact while its creators were mysteriously cutoff. And as it slowly spread throughout the world, the dwarves in particular found it to be extremely useful along with many civilizations.
