Pavilion of the Immortals
The Pavilion of the Immortals is one of the main landmarks of Eustata and of the Republic of Guntreland, and stands amongst the symbols of Republican virtue. It was envisioned by Hermann Henscher and designed by the Republican artist Gaulus. At the centre of the Pavilion there burns the Eternal Flame symbolising the immortality of the Republic and of those who had lived and died for its defence, being thereby inseverably inwrought in its tapestry through their deeds.
Crypt
The crypt of the Pavilion of the Immortal houses books in which the names of those who have by their merit and virtue done a particular service to the Republic are inscribed, and especially those who had died or been killed defending it. Various relics of the Republic, including the quill with which Citizen Kertsen had written down her famous proclamation and Citizen Gelbs’s walking stick are kept there too.
