Fatesight TTRPG - Official Campaign 1
The content of this article detail's the first campaign to be set in the Fatesight world and using the Fatesight TTRPG system, also being developed by myself. The plot and idea's are very much in concept right now, and will be later refined as the Fatesight world and TTRPG develops more.
Structure
Exposition
300 years after Humanity first settled in the Boreal System the people of Fate face their first challenge. After an excavation and analyst of some precursor ruins an ancient being of cosmic magic is released into Fate, upon seeing the long since destroyed relics of its wardens, and the rapid technological expasion of not only Humanity but the other sentient people in Boreal, the being evolves.
The being declares its name, Asurra, relinquishing it's title as Precursor God of War, and now calls itself God of Ascension.
Conflict
The main conflict of the campaign is stopping Asurra, as they begin 'ascending' androids and other artifical intelligences, giving them a form of sentience. This sentience isn't true freedom however, more like enslavement, forcing those who 'ascend' thanks too Asurra to serve them, acting as thier army. Asurra's main goal is to wipe out all life on Fate, other than machines, and turn Fate into its own personal weapon of war.
The players will fight against Asurra's ascended robotics, increasing in scale and difficulty until they are faced with dismantling the God of Ascension itself.
Relations
Protagonists
The protagonists will be the player characters, and should vary between parties and groups who play the campaign.
Adversaries
The main adversaries are Asurra and its 'ascendant'.
