Fractured World Plot
Setting:
In a post-apocalyptic wasteland reminiscent of the Fallout universe, a fractured world is filled with radiation, mutated creatures, and remnants of a once-thriving civilization. The world is scarred by mysterious fractures—dimensional rifts that connect different parts of reality. These fractures are both a source of danger and a gateway to incredible power.
Plot Summary:
The players are a group of survivors who stumble upon the town of Haven, one of the last bastions of relative safety in this broken world. Here, they learn of a powerful figure named Draven, a former scientist turned warlord, who is obsessed with the idea of resetting the world to a time before the apocalypse. He claims to hear the voice of his dead wife calling to him from beyond one of the fractures and believes that by merging the fractures, he can restore her and reset the world.
Themes
Loss and Desperation: Draven's grief and desperation to bring back his wife drive the narrative, posing moral questions to the players.
Survival and Hope: The players' journey through the wasteland reflects themes of survival and the hope for a better future.
Power and Consequence: The use and misuse of power, both in the creation of the fractures and Draven’s plans to reset the world, highlight the consequences of playing with reality.
