Lord Reginald Wooverspelt
Lord Reginald Wooverspelt (a.k.a. Reggie)
Reginald Wooverspelt is Lord of Arden. A soldier in the civil war, he retired into the civilian life as a naturalist, soldier, explorer, and adventurer. Most recently, he has returned from a distant expedition in the Leviathan Isles with several powerful allies and has been waging a campaign both diplomatic and military to reunite Arcadia.
During his younger years Wooverspelt served in the armies of the Free Lords during the devastating Arcadian Schism, serving as a Lieutenant and second in command of a company of light infantry known as the 1st Saganaw Volunteers. Wooverspelt won acclaim for his role in the conflict, which set the stage for his position in the Free State of Arden once the Schism came to an end. He also helped develop some prototype weaponry, which he kept when he retired.
As a naturalist, he was most known for his hunting and documentation of innumerable animal species, including the most complete example of an adult Roc in the Western Hemisphere. In addition to his accomplishments furthering the taxonomic lists of the world's animal species, Wooverspelt was the head of a number of expeditions, intent on mapping the world's unknown regions and documenting the animals and peoples that lived there.
One such expedition took him east to the Leviathan Isles, where he made many discoveries and allies. Notably, the Primal copper dragon Vala and the mysterious time-travelling gnome known as the Professor have been powerful allies in his reunification efforts.

Personal history
Born to a minor branch of nobles in Arcadia, Reginald, called "Reggie" by friends, spent most of his formative years exploring the hinterland at the reaches of his home country. The natural world held an endless fascination for Reggie, who taught himself taxidermy before he was the age of 12. His noble birth allowed him access to some of the finest schooling in Arcadia, culminating in time spent at a prestigious University studying law and biology.
It was during his time in the University that the King of Arcadia began his long slide into madness, and only a short time after Wooverspelt graduated, his aunt, the Duchess of Arden, was murdered in cold blood on the gallows outside the Royal palace. Wooverspelt has spent a significant amount of his childhood on the Duchess's estate, and the two had been close. Wooverspelt wasted little time, and as soon as the Free Lords declared war upon the crown, immediately set about creating a volunteer military unit comprised of locals from his home region of Saganaw. A friend of his, a noble already invested with a title, was convinced to serve as it's commander, with Wooverspelt being named as one of his lieutenants.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Helped stop Count Darlington from deploying steam-powered heavy infantry during the Arcadian Schism, the use of which could have offset the disadvantages faced by the Royalists.
Participated in the final siege of the king's citadel, and was among those few soldiers who actually witnessed the full extent of the king's madness.
Mental Trauma
Is still haunted by the sights that he saw that day during the storming of the castle, the victims of the kings insatiable thirst were innocent souls who deserved nothing like the fate they were stricken with. It is a rare and wonderful night when Wooverspelt's dreams are not visited by the faces and outstretched arms of those victims, pleading for him to answer, "Why did you let this happen? Why didn't you get there sooner?"
Morality & Philosophy
Believes hunting puts one into contact with nature, and it is the best way to preserve it.
Believes fervently in the Free Republic of Arden. Wants to create his own museum of Natural history and Archaeology filled with artifacts he has found
