With the influx of death caused by the Dragon-Elf War, the Underworld was soon overwhelmed, and Hades, the King of the Dead, was tasked with finding more servants to aid him in the management of the Dead.
He appointed the Erinyes to aid in the Fields of Punishment, and employed the aid of Charos and the Keres to aid ferrying the souls of the dead.
Khronos too appointed the Judges of the Dead; Aeacus, Minos and Rhadamanthus. Mortal demigod children of Zeus, who in death were risen to the station of Daemon so they may judge they may fairly judge the honours and crimes of the dead.
