The Abyss
The Infinite Pit of Tartarus, better known as the Abyss, is a realm dedicated to violence, chaos and evil. It is the home plane of the Demons and the prison of the God Tartarus.
The plane itself is vast and unmappable, every shifting caverns and layers each connected haphazardly and without reason. The nature of the plane is violent and malevolent where only the strong survive. The landscape itself tortures the mind and body of all who dared to pass through.
The few fatal expeditions into the Abyss seem to suggest that the very realm is alive, its walls sometimes fleshy and undulating, Demons spawned from its very depths. It is commonly speculated that the Abyss is the very body of the Tormented One.
