Pachydan

Pachydan, sometimes called Loxodon, are a rare species of Elephant-like humanoids that are native to Hepsut. They love to talk, especially about ideas and books, preferring the slow life, not liking to rush things.   Pachydan are an uncommon species with a small population. They are most often found on the Planes of Celestia and Olympus, but they can be found on Exorsia, almost exclusively within the city of Agad’Salé, deep within the Alderan Desert of Hepsut. It is exceptionally uncommon for a Pachydan to leave their tight knit communities to travel, despite this, some can be found in cities across the world, where they prefer places of quiet contemplation.   The Pachydan of Agad’Salé are a spiritual people, who worship the Goddess Athena. Their culture values knowledge and wisdom above all else. The Pachydan population has gradually been decreasing on Exorsia, with the species nearing extinction.

Appearance:

  Pachydan resemble bipedal Elephants with grey skinned bodies, large flat feet, big ears, a tail, three fingered hands, tusks and a trunk. Male and female Pachydan look almost identical.   Complexion: Pachydan skin tones are usually tones of grey.   Eyes: Pachydan tend to have brown or orange coloured eyes.

Maturity:

  Pachydan mature much slower than humans, reaching adulthood by the age of 60.

Reproduction:

  Pachydan reproduce similarly to Humans, though it is very uncommon that they get the urge to. The gestation period for a Pachydan is around 22 months.
