Owlin

Owlin, sometimes called Owlkin or Owlfolk are a species of humanoid Owls native to the Feywild. They are believed to be sacred to the Goddess Athena and are seen as lucky and bringers of good fortune. Owlin are also stereotyped as being very knowledgeable, blessed with divine wisdom as heralds of Athena, though there is doubt whether this is based in fact.   Owlin are a single sex species that come in many shapes and sizes. Some Owlin have wings and are capable of flight, while others do not. Winged Owlin can be found in the Feywild, where they live among Fey communities or in Owlin burrows deep in the feywood. While flightless Owlin are most often found within the Planes of Celestia and Olympus where they serve the Gods as well as working many professions. Flightless Owlin used to be common on Exorsia before the Fall of Arcanum but haven’t been seen since.

Appearance:

  Owlin resemble bipedal owls with beaks and light feathers. Owlin come in many shapes and sizes, flying Owlin have hand-like appendages on the tips of their wings, while flightless Owlin have arms instead of wings.   Feathers: Owlin feathers are usually a mix of white, brown, grey or black.   Eyes: Owlin tend to have yellow or orange coloured eyes.

Maturity:

  Owlin mature faster than Humans, reaching adulthood around the age of 6.

Reproduction:

  Owlin hatch from eggs. An Owlin can produce a nest of 4 - 7 eggs, which must be kept warm for 4 months before they hatch.
