Adam Graymane is a tall half-elven mage with long grey hair and a neatly groomed beard kept in a gold dwarven beard ring. Clad in dark grey robes and a wide-brimmed floppy pointed hat with a large buckle, he is seldom seen without a carved wooden pipe, from which wisps of aromatic smoke curl about him. Revered as both guardian and interloper in equal measure, he roams kingdoms and hidden ruins to recover ancient texts, scripts, and spellbooks, his firm demeanor softening into a warm, jovial smile among trusted allies.

Adam Graymane emerged from the hidden archives of Ibris during the War of the Scrolls, recovering lost spells and cryptic manuscripts that reshaped magical dogma. Allies speak of his jovial counsel; rivals accuse him of trespassing sovereign vaults to seize knowledge.
