The Temple of the Blades
Headquarters, religious center, home, and fortress of the Thousand Blades, the Temple is an incredibly fortified monument to the organization and all those who have served in it's ranks.
Purpose / Function
To house, train, and meet every need for the Thousand Blades.
Alterations
The only true change to the original structure made by the Blades is the addition of multiple buildings across the grounds, but all done in the same style as the Temple itself.
Architecture
The Temple is built in the style of a Moon Kingdom castle, hewn stone up half the walls before the wooden structure atop truly comes into shape, with long sweeping arches and swirls and loops. The Temple is build with ledges specifically designed for 'flying gardens' of exotic hanging cherry vines, the blossoms of which swirl through the air as the openings in the temple walls are designed for maximum airflow. The birthnames of each Blade are carved in an individual stone brick of the temple, scattered throughout in no particular order and written in flowing golden script.
History
The Temple was built in the first Year of the Everking, following the construction of the Forbidden City within the new Imperial capital. The Blades built the temple to resemble the Philosopher's Fortress of old Moon Kingdom mythology. Over the centuries, it has grown and become nearly a small city in it's own right, with a full population of servants to the Blades who are born, raised, and die within the walls of the Temple.
