The Order of the Dragonfly
The Dragonfly fighting school and those who follow the Order are a sect of the Way of the Changing Seasons. The organization maintains their temples and school in a hidden part of The Impossible Lake, and mainly consists of Langite women.
Structure
Like most monastic fighting orders, the Order of the Dragonfly is run in day to day operations by monks who live at the monastery. Choices for the Order are made by the Dragonfly Grandmaster, and their choices can be vetoed by two elected monks called the Discordant Masters.
Public Agenda
To train initiates in the secret martial arts of the Order, and thus indoctrinate them into the Way of the Changing Season. As a result of being a part of the Confederacy, they by default send their trainees to mandatory military service.
Assets
Like most of the Way monasteries, the actual holy grounds of the Order of the Dragonfly are home to a temple, a school, and several other buildings. The Order keeps care of a specific breed of giant dragonfly meant for aerial combat. The Order is largely self-sufficient, as they sell a unique flowerwine that is very popular among Confederate nobles.
Mythology & Lore
As a sect of the Way of Changing Seasons, the Order of the Dragonfly preaches that The Seasonal is the beginning and the end of all things. They believe that he brought dragonflies to the world to teach his followers how to protect themselves. The philosophy of the Order of the Dragonfly is one of preemptive action, to fix things before they become problems.
