Quarterling
Quarterlings are a half-breed race defined by one parent being a Halfling and the other Human, Orc, or Elf (or half-breeds begotten from these same). For unknown reasons they look just like even smaller versions of their Halfling parent. Quarterlings of Human descent tend to have that parent's eye color with enormous irises, those of Orc descent have small fang-like tusks, and those of Elf descent have long pointed ears, regardless of what sort of Elf they descend from. Quarterlings rarely grow more than two feet in height, and retain the large hair-covered feet of their Halfling parentage. They tend to be just as naturally curious and optimistic as Halflings, if not more.
