Felthír Queendom

The Felthír Queendom is a nation of Drow beneath the surface of Draydar. They avoid contact with surface dwellers wherever possible, and instead focus their efforts on battling the Duergar of Zgurmm-Uga'nash for supremacy of The Dark Lands.

History

When the Drow split with the surface elves 4000 years ago, they were originally a sect of Izidra worshippers who were driven out of surface society for their violent and heretical beliefs. After travelling for 100 years, they eventually went underground and got lost. Just as the group was about to give up, they stumbled across a huge cavern with an underground lake and teeming fungal life. Weirder still, there were already ruins of another civilization here into which the elves moved. Thus the elves created their capital of Felthrún. Over the millennia, the elves adapted to the dark, and became truly separate from their surface dwelling cousins. Likewise, Felthír continued to expand, as its first queen, Ixilia Felthír, ascended to the throne. She instituted the nation's tradition of matriarchy, which has stuck ever since.

Religion

The Drow in Felthír worship Izidra, and believe that conquest brings glory. However, they are extremely lawful and honorable, no matter how extreme or aggressive their military tactics.
