Crow Hill
Crow Hill is a small town in the Ur'grim Mountains. The town is under the jurisdiction of Aegis City, and typically enjoys its protection, however lately the war effort has reduced the amount of aid.
The town itself is a small affair, with a thick log wall around its perimeter surrounding a dense cluster of buildings and cobblestone roads. Some points of interest include:
- The Whispering Gale Inn
- Blue Rock Brewery
- Burns Co. Logging Company
- General Store
- Temple of Aldir
- Militia Barracks
Demographics
The citizens of Crow Hill are largely human, but with a sizeable dwarf population. While the races seem to get along, they tend to de facto segregate and keep to their own kind.
Government
The town is run by its mayor, Brome Dunham. The mayor oversees the day-to-day operations of the town, but also reports to the authority of the governor in Aegis City and ensures that taxes are paid to the crown in the form of both money and exports. In exchange, Aegis City is obligated to take care of the town.
Defences
50-ft double-thick log wall perimeter with iron-latched gate. A militia maintains order.
Industry & Trade
The majority of the town's residents are loggers for the Burns Co. Logging Company, or are farmers. The main export from the town is lumber, but also a fair amount of local ale.
Geography
Crow Hill is nestled in a valley in the Ur'grim Mountains. This largely keeps it away from military forces, but it is also at the mercy of any creatures that reside in the mountains.
Natural Resources
The most prominent resource is the pine wood from the surrounding forests, though iron deposits can be found in the mountains for potential future mining.
