Azagog
The Black Devourer
Deity of Death. Worshipped only by the Church of Azagog. Others cannot remember its name. It devours the souls of the dead who are not saved by other gods. Azagog has no avatar, preferring to blast the minds of mortals with the sheer horror of his true being. Those who have witnessed this and have lived to tell the tale say that they appear as an infinite mass of writhing tentacles that squeeze and wrap, eyeballs that roll and ooze, and mouths that scream louder than ears can hear. All deities are sexless, but are typically gendered based on their avatar, however since Azagog has no avatar, they are typically referred to as genderless, though some of their followers may use gendered pronouns.
