The Tchwachi merfolk live in the warm, deep waters surrounding the island of Salahor. The waters are unusually clear, letting the sunlight filter down deeper, whilst geothermal vents seep heat from beneath the sands.

The Vee live in the seas around the southern Jasperic Isles, caretaking vast fields of sea grass and docile herds of pygmy manatee.
