Erias

  Despite being an island, Erias is one of the largest countries on the continent of Caia. It is the centre of a slowly dying empire. In the north of the country, ice covers the ground for around four months of the year, and the thick boreal forests are topped with snow. In the south, the climate is warmer, though the forests are no less thick. The settlements of the Erish are mostly located around the coast.   Erias is ruled by a monarchy, which is heavily entwined with religion. It is an empire, having conquered many of the islands in the north of Caia. The empire is much smaller than it was even a hundred years ago, as islands fight for their independence. Erias is generally accepted to be the birthplace of the Faith, which it has spread to many of the nearby lands.
