The Volunteers

For many, working for the Rainbow Bridge is not a job, it is a calling and purpose. Volunteers, as they are called, come from all walks of life. Rich and poor, rural and urban, young and old. All of them share a driving motivation, and that is supporting the Rainbow Bridge and promoting the well-being of the animals of Ethnis.

Some volunteers spend their time aboard the station. These people work tirelessly day to day to help care for the hundreds of animal residents. Other volunteers are spread across the universe, always keeping watch for animals in need of rescue. A good percentage have never seen the station in person, maintaining their investment through Deřek's streams and remote events hosted by the Volunteers on board.

Becoming a Volunteer

There are a few ways to become a volunteer. The first way is to travel to the station itself. This is a larger commitment from both the staff accepting a new volunteer and the potential new volunteer heading into a station occupied by hundreds of animals.

Being a volunteer on the station is constant work, cleaning enclosures, preparing foods and medicines, and keeping the station functional just to name a few. Volunteers do not get paid for their time, though some volunteers will join as an internship for animal-focused careers.

Serious Inquiries Only!!!

While we would be nothing without our volunteers, volunteer training requires a lot of time and energy. If you wish to help, be ready to get your hands dirty and come in with a positive attitude and absolute respect for the animals.

Working Remote

Many volunteers don't stop contributing to the Rainbow Bridge when they head to their own homes. Volunteers abroad work as the eyes and the ears for the Rainbow Bridge in many cases.

Volunteers are always eager to share their experiences with Rainbow Bridge, and many swear that the experiences they've gained and relationships they've built have changed their lives for the better.

Oh hell yes, I'm absolutely in, I'd be signing up in a heartbeat!   FYI in the last paragraph the word Rainbow seems to have forgotten its 'w' just so you know.   Certainly keeping this pamphlet for later, so that should I find myself in the right part of Ethnis I can sign up. :)
