Abyssal
Abyssal Outsiders embody malevolence in its three primary expressions, inhabiting the infernal realms of Vortium, Syferia, and Tyratheon. Despite their differences in methodology, all share foundational traits including destructive or exploitative intent, opposition to empyrean values, and influence that corrupts rather than nurtures. Their chaotic, fair, and orderly variants demonstrate how malevolent intent manifests through diverse approaches while maintaining common destructive purpose.
Demons embody chaotic malevolence through forms in constant physical flux. Native to Vortium, they exhibit nauseating color combinations and asymmetrical physiognomies with seemingly functionless components that appear and disappear unpredictably. Unlike other Outsiders, demons typically lack wings entirely or form temporary wing-like structures that function erratically. Their psychology drives them toward destruction of ordered systems, with thought patterns reconfiguring as rapidly as their physical forms. Demons view mortals primarily as prey and sources of emotional energy, overwhelming them with sensory distortions and reality fluctuations.
Daeva exemplify fair malevolence through calculatedly deceptive forms. Dwelling in Syferia, they possess small horns, leathery wings, and fleshy tails, with skin tones spanning natural human colorations enhanced by subtle iridescence that creates an unsettling effect. Their extrasensory capabilities detect psychological vulnerabilities with extraordinary precision. Daeva approach interaction through subtle manipulation—presenting options appearing beneficial while actually advancing their own agendas. Their society functions through intricate influence networks creating social structures as deceptive as the entities themselves.
Devils manifest orderly malevolence through imposing, symmetrical forms designed to convey authority. Residing in Tyratheon, they display leathery draconic wings, horns reflecting rank and function, and tails terminating in barbed or bladed formations. Their extrasensory perception focuses on detecting obligation and commitment, identifying precisely where contractual relationships might be exploited. Devils approach interaction through binding contractual mechanisms and systemic corruption, operating within rigid hierarchical systems divided across Tyratheon's seven descending layers, each ruled by a distinct archdevil.
