Queen Serenia was born in Candella to her mother, Serenia the Brave. Growing up, she displayed a considerable amount of talent in fire magic, as is tradition with the Candellian royal family, making her eligible as heir to the throne.
Serenia was heavily pregnant in August of 2002, when the Battle of Candella was beginning. She gave birth on the early morning of August 24th, naming the child Samar.

Many rumors circulated that Serenia had an affair with a soldier, and even had a child with him.
