Darin
Darin is an old district of the capital city in Dryl. The district was closed in 1994.
Demographics
The city was once populated by humans, pixies, and most recently, scorponi fleeing from Skaleria.
Government
The city was run by the Council of Dryl. When the area was active, Councilman Arthur Bravas represented the district on the council. Bravas was the Chief of Industry but resigned in 1990 just before the city was closed. He was replaced by Boris Orworth.
History
The District of Darin was home to miners in Dryl. The area is tucked away on the east side of the capital city, neatly placed by the mountains. It once was home to a district center, graveyard, general store, tavern, and popular blacksmith. The district had company housing that was home to many of the miners.
In 1992-1993, the district had a large spike in population as refugees from Skaleria settled into the district's company housing. Refugees found work in the mines to help pay their way into the city.
In 1994, the district fell victim to a harsh plague and closed it's gates to outsiders. By 1997, it was reported that the district had no survivors. The district has remained locked to the public ever since.
Points of interest
The district center was once the main office for Councilman Arthur Bravas. There is a well out front that is dated as old as the city of Dryl itself.
The blacksmith of Darin was a popular spot for anyone shopping for tools. It is on the southwest side of the district.
The graveyard is one of the oldest graveyards in the city of Dryl.
