Zenos Rival Anton av Krillov, a low member of the Eskian Royal Family, used this Chance to exploit the Lahari weakness and started to plunder the Territories of Lahar to show the Eskians that Skan is not fit to Rule and he instead should rule the Province.

Motivation
Skan is a righteous Ruler, out to do the right thing for his Subjects and fulfill his obligations to the Throne. He uses his position as one of the most important Nobles in the Eskian Kingdom to improve the fate of the common Folk by giving them Opportunities. His sense of Honour is a Thorn to some of his Peers who suspect ulterior motives behind this benevolence.
Desperate to find a solution for the financial troubles of his Duchy he stumbled upon an ancient coin in the Issue of his Father. A family Legend tells of an old spring of Wealth beyond Alkabir. In his desperation he assembles a small expedition in the hopes of recovering enough Funds to keep what he cares for Save and himself out of Prison.

His drive to right by his poeple angers his fellow nobles, who put him often in a bad light infront of the Crown to smear his image on a National level.

Though his Reputation amongst the Nobility is not very good. He tends to be respected and liked by the people knowing that zeno tries to look out for them.
His sense of Duty to the Crown and his subjects come sometimes at odds with each other and lead him into trouble, which he resolves with his great oratory abilities.

Vices & Personality flaws
Caring for the common-folk he developed a resentment for his peers who most often simply exploit their priviliges and their people. This attitude is more often than not, a hindrance in his goals to improve the Realms of his care and that of the Crown. Most recently a small coalition at the royalcourt tried to implicate Zeno in treasanous affairs but were unsuccsessfull in this affair.
Relationships
History
Krillov and Skan are old enemies at Court. When Skan inherited the Duchy of his Father he was also awarded one of Krillovs nominal Titles. Though the Title was not important Skan further aggrovated Krillov by intervening in a scolding of a Servant.
Over the Years this pity rivalry escalated to outright hostilities when Krillov enlisted the Blood Striders to maraude through Skans Lands.
