Kurz nachdem Rhaelyn und ihr Vater in Gilmora angekommen sind, stimmt der Taesci Arsocil Serinas zu, Rhaelyn im Nahkampf mit der Klinge und im Fernkampf mit dem Bogen auszubilden.
Hierbei knüpft sie erste Kontakte zu anderen gleichaltrigen Kindern.
