Coppersoot
Medical Findings
Coppersoot is useful for neutralizing acid burns especially on organic material or a humanoid, it is less effective in stopping acid damage on metals. Coppersoot Balms have more recently been used in protective kits for workers in the Blackpool region who work in (or adjacent to) the sulfur mines. The balm is spread over any exposed skin to mitigate tissue damage. While Coppersoot is viable as an anti-acidic measure due to its high flammability it is not used widely where open flames might be present.Herbalism
Coppersoot is used mostly in alchemical studies or are a reagent in volatile and explosive mixtures. It is also said that the Dwarven Blacksmith Thomgrim the Runebreaker in Nin has found a new application for the compound but has been highly secretive about it. Coppersoot is not widely sold but usually shops that tend to rogue-like matters keep a small amount of hand (but don't advertise that fact).Manufacturing process
The seeds of the Copperbane plant as necessary to create Coppersoot. The seeds need to be slowly roasted with indirect heat for 8 hours, once done roasting the seeds need to be ground into a fine powder. Low-grade Coppersoot is produced using the entire plant, however, this causes small flecks of green impurities throughout (leftover plant matter from the flower) and can hamper the quality of the Coppersoot but increase the quantity. High-grade Coppersoot will appear as a reddish-orange powder with a smooth even consistency.
